Founded 1938 by engineer Erwin Halder to produce his patented SIMPLEX mallet, Halder has thrived as a family-run, ISO-9001 compliant company based in Bronnen, Germany. Expanding on their unique design, Halder now produces a full line of mallets with their distinctive replaceable head and faces. This feature allows the user not only to customize the tool based on task, e.g. changing the mallet head from a softer to a harder one, but also to replace parts as they wear - replacement handles and heads are always available. Halder has also further broadened their line to include quality sledge hammers, splitting axes and hatchets.
