    I was using this tool today to strip some 16 and 18 AWG solid-core wire. I would guess it performed like I wanted about 20% of the time. Most of the time it did not fully cut through the insulation, so when it attempted to strip it just scraped the end of the insulation. I love the idea of the tool and the action is impressive, but it did not work well for me in practice.

    A handy bit of kit

    This stripper is really cool and handy. It won’t replace all your other strippers but it definitely has its time and place. When you’re in a tight spot and can’t use traditional strippers, this is your tool. When you’re stripping a lot and want to get the same, consistent strip every time, you’ll grab this tool. It’s a great little tool and fun to use!
