      Hazet 1979-11

Given the price, this is the worst flashlight I’ve ever owned. The battery life is pathetic; it goes dead in a week from a full charge even if unused. They didn’t bother with proper USB C charging logic, so it cannot use standard USB C to C charging, only C to A. It does not work while charging. Can’t open it — the design is not user-serviceable, so can’t even try to replace the battery. It’s been like this since day 1. This is a design that in my opinion shows contempt for the user. I wish I hadn’t kept it. Next stop, the garbage, and good riddance.

      Hazet 1979-11 Torch

I will admit I am a big fan of Hazet tools and thought this might be a good choice for working on cars. When I received the light I gave it a charge and then tried it. What I expected was a varying intensity level as you look from the central focal point of the light to the periphery. Well, this light has the most even distribution of light I have ever seen. The switch is a bit hard to operate (narrow fingers work better) and the secondary light is a strip with many COB lights in a row. The light cycles from spot (at end) to strip with a bonus feature not listed!!! The back side has two (2) powerful magnets such that you can place the light on any ferrous material and the light will support itself. The light also has a pocket clip that is hidden normally, but using access opening with your finger - you can expose it.
