Amazing tool to add to your arsenal

These 10" cutters are the last length before the design changes on the larger cutters. I have medium sized hands and they're just the right size to get a two handed grip for maximum squeeze. Medium/large size cutters that are very versatile and very high quality. Extremely comfortable handles with curves that help. Tight yet smooth jaws, very satisfying. Grippers/shock stoppers built in to protect cutting edges when cutting through work piece. These aren't big enough to cut medium/large size locks with 1/4" hardened shackles but anything smaller that that these make short easy work of anything. Not to mention available replaceable jaws. KC Tool has reliably shipped fast for me.

Knipex [****] 10" CoBolt XL Compact Bolt Cutters

I got these for my son as a Christmas gift. I have the 8 inch version. Those have served me very well for few years now. They go through bicycle spokes and hog rings on automobile seat covers like butter, a hand saver for those repetitive tasks. Suprisingly nimble for jaws this strong, I find myself reaching for these instead of dikes for all but the tightest work spaces. Really solid tool to have in hand.

Great for softer metals, not great for hardened bolts

Great cutters, especially for this size. The jaws are tough and hold up very well. I can cut through four strands of shielded 12awg, chain link fencing, and 16d nails without any trouble. They can cut practically anything that will fit into the jaws, with the exception of hardened steel bolts, those are the only things I've had a hard time with. But I just attribute that to the size of the cutters, not to the construction, you can only get so much leverage with a 10in handle. The jaws have held up very well, even with me pushing them to the limits.
