My new go to. √úber sharp und √ºber strong

For the past decade or more I've been a loyal user of an orange brand high leverage cable cutters. They were the best available, or so I thought! And I won't deny that they are still great cutters, but these Knipex cable shears are the cats pajamas! You can take on large cable diameter with confidence, you may not get through on the first bite but once you work the wire in to the interior jaws it's game over. I believe I will keep a set of these on hand for the rest of my days, not sure they can be beat. Now I need to try the multi grip!!!

Wonderful

These a very nice, extremely sharp, cable cutters. I have been using them to cut 18awg 25 conductor chainflex cable and they work great. I have also found that they work really well for cutting polyurethane and nylon pneumatic tubing (4mm up to 12 or 14mm).

Worth the chance

I bought these shears, to see how they would work for cuttong 2o cable. They are performing better than I'd hoped. We have no issue cutting #8/4 copper cable and any other gauges we've had to cut.

As usual, Knipex quality is apparent in this tool. Smooth, tight open/close action and excellent comfort even in my baseball glove sized hands. the ability to separate the two sides is a nice touch as well. My only complaint is that they are a little short to get the required leverage to cut 7-strand 2/0 wire. This tool is better suited for cutting wire with very fine strands. That being said, I find this tool in my back pocket a lot at work on days where I am cutting more wire than usual.

The best cutters

There is a reason for the high price because these are the best cable cutters money can buy the tool steel on these cutters is amazing able to cut 4/0 if necessary. Strips insulation really good and can be used as a knife the blades will cut rope like air. They are able to cut stainless steel ty wraps as well and the blade will remain razor sharp. You can dissasemble the tool in its two parts and resharpen if nesessary I have even shaved my arm hair just to test the sharpnes. Forget those stupid klien rabbit ears. BUY THIS YOU WON'T REGREAT IT!!!!!!
