Handy grip wrenches in a small size

Posted by Phil on Dec 20th 2020

Comments below copied from my review on the 175mm version: Struggled with giving these a 5 star rating, because there's really nothing super great about them, but I suppose I was just expecting a little more from a "nice" brand. However, in the end, these are still the nicest grips I've used. Details; the threaded ends are welded shut, action and joints are all nicely fit so they dont have that typical rattle, cutters actually cut, and the release levers are smartly designed to generate leverage on the center link so you dont have to press so hard to get them back over-center to release. My one "complaint" is that the jaws are just OK in terms of their shape but they make up for it with sharp and hard teeth. I haven't tried the other KC brand grip wrenches, but these definitely fit the bill for my needs. In addition, these small ones are super handy for getting into tighter areas.
