Works great. It makes getting into and out of hard to reach places a snap because it holds the bolt well and more importantly, it holds it straight. I won't remove a star for this, because it is in the design, which is excellent, but you should know that the socket wall diameter is slightly thicker to allow a ridge to hold the band on for the holding function. It will still work for 95% of all bolts I've encountered, but if you have tight proximity to the bolt head, this socket will not clear.

socket has two small balls that help retain the bolt or nut placed inside the socket. the black collar retains the balls. the black is retained by the top edge of the socket being flattened to produce a lip.the creation of the lip makes the socket walls slightly thicker than a regular socket. nice knurling on socket base, great for finger spinning but, really can't use it when attached to drive tool. would like to see socket size stamped into socket base opposite black band size.
