    A million uses

Big fan of this set with a few exceptions noted below. Very convenient and high quality. All of the accessories are fantastic, but the issues I’m having are with the ratchet itself. To me, the Wera grip is moderately comfortable on screwdrivers, and not comfortable at all on a ratchet. At first I didn’t care for the plastic sheaths found in a few places in the set, thinking they were cheap looking and feeling, but they have proven to be pretty useful so far. I like that Wera thought to have the thumb wheel mechanism to switch ratcheting directions accessible while the swivel head is rotated vertically, but it’s design makes it difficult to turn, regardless of swivel head position, because of its low profile (and especially difficult if greasy); plus it gets in the way when turning the ratchet by its head rather than the handle (making it hard to use any of the bits unless you’ve rotated the swivel head vertically). The thumb wheel also prevents use of the swivel head anywhere between the 15 and 90 degree positions, because the locking pin for the swivel head catches on the thumb wheel as it turns. I like the option to have the swivel head locked at 15 degrees, but note a lot more cam-out with smaller sockets and any bit in that position. Overall, the ratchet is heavy and feels like good quality. Will take some getting used to but overall happy with this set.
