I’m really happy with how handy this driver is! Speeds up those jobs when you have to run long screws in!

I was very excited to receive this item as I work with several applications where power tools should not be used, such as with sensitive electronics and in some cases around dangerous chemicals (where nothing that could cause a spark is allowed). There are many ratcheting screwdrivers available and I own many of them, all have flaws of some sort. This is not without its flaws. It is very comfortable and it does function whether you hold the upper or lower part of the handle steady and twist the other. This was a pleasant surprise. Locked, it doesn't feel any different from any other driver; it will transfer torque enough to over torque screws just like any other which was another of my concerns. The issue i have with it is both good and bad depending on the situation. It can be used as a very coarse torque limiting driver, as it doesn't seem to stop turning the screw at the same point of torque consistently. We are talking M3 & M4 screws with P2 or P1 heads, very small, it will stop between 0.5 - 1.5 threads left to tighten. Once you get used to it, you kind of have a feel but it is still a much wider range of torque than i was expecting. Generally speaking the one i got struggles more with loosening than tightening, but in either direction it feels as though the gears are too dry and need to be greased though I haven't found a safe way to do this. I have also ordered the VDE version of this and think it will be perfect for installing switch plates and covers due to its aversion to over torquing. If you intend to use this for large screws (larger than say #6 or M4) you may want to look for a more robust solution.

Very nice set, might keep it in the car as a travel set.

    Wera Kraftform Turbo

I'm really happy with this screwdriver set, with one (kinda major) issue. Lets start with the good stuff. Everything about this set feels super high quality from the case it came in to the printing on the handle, all the bits are machined very nicely, the gearing feels very smooth, the button clicks very positively. With the gearing disengaged, the handle stands up to a fair amount of torque, tightening the lugs on disconnects very nicely. Now the not so good, I accidentally dropped it about three feet onto a hard floor, i was shocked to see the handle exploded into pieces, the handle cracked in half, the gearing came out, springs, everything. I managed to collect all the parts and reassemble the handle, correctly... i think. It seems to function properly but it has a new loosness and more wobble than before. I contacted wera regarding the issue I'm having, haven't heard back, but its only been a couple of days
