    Combo's get a bad rep

    I've never understood why combination pliers are generally frowned upon, sure there are tools that do a few things better, but to keep a light tool kit or to run toward an unknown problem, it's hard to argue with a set. These ones are typical knipex quality. The cutters make complete and full contact and leave the slightest gap between the flat portion of the serrated jaws. Just perfect. Action is tight and without any play. The 7" / 180mm size is perfect for any job around the house. Recommend getting these as the only combo plier unless bigger projects demand it. For a smaller size, I'd recommend another knipex plier in a similar package, but with the needle nose tips (08-21-145) that more resemble folding pliers that many people carry.

    All around great pliers. Normally I am not a huge fan of combination pliers but these are a treat to use. Excellently made like all other Knipex pliers I own. The 7" size is smaller than traditional linesman pliers but still large enough to get some serious work done. Like all other combination pliers, they are a bit of a "jack of all trades, master on none" but their compact size makes them the perfect plier to keep in your tool belt or back pocket.
