    Excellent Ratchet

Posted by David on Feb 22nd 2021

I have relied on the quality materials and tight tolerances of Stahlwille since I first discovered them about 20 years ago, including a set of ratchets that still function great despite years of hard use. My primary purpose in upgrading to this model was to benefit from the increased tooth count and decreased swing for those very tight spots when you can only move it a few degrees and struggle to catch the next tooth. This did not disappoint. It exhibits the same quality as my original with a tighter ratcheting mechanism that really helps in confined spaces. The quick release button is a tremendous added benefit that I didn't know I was missing until I had it. If I had to choose one ratchet, this would be it.

    Great Ratchet

The Stahlwille 435SG-QRN Fine Tooth Ratchet is in my opinion, one of the best! It has a mechanism like the fine-tooth SK ratchet, another great one, that gives the feel of a Snap-On Dual-80 with less components. The Snap-on uses 2 springs, one for the selector switch-lever, and the other for the ratchet paw. the SK and the Stahlwille use a single spring to accomplish both, which I think is a better design. This is a well engineered, well built, high tolerance device, made with top materials. All this and nearly half the price of the Snap-On, and still less than the SK. You won't be disappointed. I'm very pleased with this purchase and I know this ratchet will make me money for a long time. -Alex

Everything on it works smoothly and easily. It's great. The locking mechanism is the best I've seen.
