    Overall happy about this

Great smaller size. Great feel in hand. Not all bits work in it.

    An interesting case

To date, Wiha 387ESD is by far my favorite ESD handle: I like the absolute lack of mechanical plays it provides with literally all sorts of bits (eg, included "thin neck" C6.3 bits (eg, torsion bits like Wiha DuraBit bits), very long E6.3 bits, double bits, etc). In comparison, Wera 813 R ESD provides: a very compact size and a much faster "click-in" insertion of the bit. Like its brother 816 R ESD, is doesn't retain double bits at all, and, in general, both don't seem suited for anything longer than, say, 50mm. Interestingly, isn't just that the bit remains able to move wrt the bit holder, it's also the latter not standing completely still wrt the handle proper, longitudinally in particular. I don't like all those remaining degrees of freedom at all - I'm pretty sure they can negatively affect the rapidity with which I can reach the head of a screw - but I'm quite puzzled: some should be easy to avoid, while designing an handle, or at least should be for a renowned brand like Wera...

    Awesome

I was looking for a small screwdriver for a work tool bag. I picked this up wishing it would fit the bill. - - First impression - Quality tool that will last a lifetime. - - The descriptions do not really indicate how compact this really is. This is about 4" long and about 1.5" in diameter at the widest point.
