    One way gearing gives it a higher torque rating. If you start here with just the ratchet, you will not be disappointed. Socket adapter has three positions. On, off and a middle position to protect it when you need to strike something using the hammer face. Plastic pads are provided incase the object has a finish you want to protect. Sufficient girth too so you get a solid hit if you do hammer something. It has an extension bar or guide pin that lock into the handle for added benefit. Like I said, great tool. I added a one and zero so I know it’s set already to remove or tighten whatever bolt or nut I’m working with. With the extension, it can handle over 450 pounds. Can’t say enough about it. I already have three.
